Mr Juan Grobbelaar
Executive Head: Stakeholder Identification and Acquisition
Juan Grobbelaar serves as Head of Relationships at the South African Banking Risk Information Centre (SABRIC), where he supports the organisation’s strategic objectives by fostering strong, collaborative relationships across the banking industry, government, regulators, and international partners. With over three decades of experience in law enforcement, financial crime intelligence, and stakeholder engagement, he contributes to strengthening partnerships that enhance South Africa’s collective resilience against financial and organised crime.
Before joining SABRIC in 2003, Juan spent 11 years with the South African Police Service (SAPS) across multiple divisions, including the State President’s Guard, Uniform Branch, Crime Intelligence, and Information and Systems Management. He holds a BA in Police Science and a BA Honours in Criminology from UNISA, as well as a Master’s Degree in Police Management from Technikon Pretoria.
