Mr Aluta Dyasi
Deputy Director
Aluta Dyasi is a Deputy Director in the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) and is responsible for Priority Crime Specialised Investigation, with a focus on Cybercrime Investigations. With more than 15 years of experience in cybercrime investigation, Aluta specialises in digital and cyber forensics, as well as capability development programmes for the DPCI. He holds digital forensic and cybersecurity certifications and is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Technology with Nelson Mandela University (NMU) – focus area is on information and cybersecurity. He is a member of the Interpol Global Cyber Expert Group and represents the DPCI on international cybersecurity platforms, advocating for inter-agency collaboration and coordination of investigative efforts to combat cybercrime, as well as the detection of cyber threats. Aluta contributes to several Interpol operations that address different cyber-enabled crimes. When not preoccupied with national security issues, he does Karate and spends time with his family watching sports.
